Spatiotemporal Geochemical Hydrocarbons

Spatiotemporal Geochemical Hydrocarbons (SGH) is an extractive procedure which releases organic compounds adsorbed on B- horizon soil samples. The SGH procedure provides a highly focussed and sensitive method which measures compounds in the C5-C17 range down to the low parts-per-trillion (ppt).

SGH Advantages:

  • Delineation of mineral targets through thick layers of cover rock and overburden
  • A cost-effective technique of prioritizing targets
  • Over 160 hydrocarbon compounds ensures that SGH anomalies are positively identified¬†
  • Practical sample collection, handling and shipping protocols with one trip to the field reduces costs
  • Robust method - SGH is uninfluenced by cultural activity¬†
  • Backed by over 25 years experience in GC/MS related research & development
  • SGH has been successful in difficult terrain. Samples can be near surface soils, peat, humus, till, sand, submerged lake-bottom sediments, and even snow

SGH is used frequently for the following commodities:
- Gold
- Kimberlites
- Copper
- Nickel
- Polymetalic
- Wet Gas
- Oil
- Coal

SGH Case Studies:
Gold - Diana
Ni-Cu - Birchtree
VMS - Hanson Lake
U - Dawn Lake
U - McArthur River
Kimberlite - Abitibi Region
